Teaching Children Effectively™(TCE)
Level 1 - Objectives
- Increased knowledge about the spiritual needs of children
- Effective methods to communicate the Gospel to children
- Basic skills for teaching a children’s hour
- Practical ideas for making learning enjoyable for boys and girls
Level 1 - Subjects (30 hours)
- Biblical teaching about the child
- The importance of the teacher
- An overview of the message of salvation
- Preparing and teaching a Bible lesson
- Counseling the child for salvation
- Encouraging the newly converted child
- Reaching children in the neighbourhood
- Scripture memorization
- Singing
- Discipline
- Visual communication in teaching
Conditions of Acceptance
- Be a committed Christian
- Be at least 17 years of age
- Be willing to participate in all class activities, including the practical assignments
A Certificate will be awarded to all who successfully complete the course and who teach five children’s lessons. The course is taught by qualified teachers, who bring to the classes their experience with CEF in ministries to children. Level 2: focuses on the nurture of Christian children (30 hours) Level 3: focuses on principles and creative methods of teaching (30 hours)
Only those completing a level successfully can advance to the next one. For over 50 years, around the world, thousands of child evangelists have been trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship.
